No. Ad Engine collects zero data. All ad blocking happens on your device using Apple’s declarativeNetRequest API. The App makes no network requests and has no server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Tap the Ad Engine icon in Safari’s toolbar, then tap Pause to temporarily disable blocking for that site. You can tap Resume at any time to re-enable it. If the issue persists, please email us with the website URL so we can investigate.
Yes. Open the Ad Engine app and go to Settings. Core protection (ads, trackers, malware) is always active, but you can toggle optional categories like Gambling, Adult Content, Drugs and Alcohol, and P2P and Piracy on or off based on your preferences.
Ad Engine ships with over 300,000 blocking rules compiled from trusted open-source filter lists including EasyList, AdGuard, uBlock Origin, and Hagezi. The block counter in the Safari toolbar shows how many items were blocked on the current page.
No. Ad blocking actually speeds up browsing by preventing ads and trackers from loading. Apple’s declarativeNetRequest API evaluates rules at the system level with minimal performance impact.
Delete the App from your device. This removes the App, the extension, and all locally stored preferences. No data persists anywhere else because nothing was ever uploaded.
