Privacy Policy for Rizq Studio

Rizq Studio (“the App”) is a personal finance planning application for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Your privacy is foundational amanah (trust) to us—not an afterthought. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is stored, and what choices you have.

1. Data You Provide

When you use Rizq Studio, you may enter:

Profile information (name, email, age, state/country)
Income details (salary, hourly rate, pay frequency)
Expenses and financial goals
Net worth figures (assets, liabilities)
Religious and personal finance principles (optional)
Household member connections (optional)

All of this data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. It is never uploaded to any server operated by the developer.

2. Sign In with Apple

If you choose to sign in with Apple, the App receives:

A unique, app-scoped user identifier
Your name and email address (if you choose to share them)

These credentials are stored exclusively in the on-device Keychain—the most secure storage available on Apple platforms. The App never receives or stores your Apple ID password. Sign In with Apple is entirely optional; you can use every feature as a guest.

3. iCloud Sync (CloudKit)

If you are signed in to iCloud, the App uses Apple’s CloudKit to sync your financial data across your own devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud container—only you can access it. The developer cannot read, access, or retrieve any data from your iCloud container.

If you use the Household feature, a limited invite record is shared between household members via Apple’s CKShare mechanism. Only the names, roles, and email addresses involved in the household connection are included in the shared record.

4. Bank Account Linking (Future Feature)

A future version of the App may support optional bank account linking through authorized third-party providers. If enabled, your banking credentials will be handled directly by the provider—Rizq Studio will never see, store, or transmit your banking username or password. This feature is not active in the current release.

5. Data We Do NOT Collect

Rizq Studio does not use any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or third-party tracking tools. Specifically:

No tracking or fingerprinting of any kind
No advertising identifiers are accessed
No personal data is sold or shared with third parties
No server-side data collection—the App has no developer-operated backend that receives your data
No usage analytics—we do not track which screens you visit, how often you open the App, or any behavioral data

The App’s PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest (included in every build submitted to Apple) declares NSPrivacyTracking = false and an empty collected data types array.

6. Data Storage & Security

On-device encryption: Your data is protected by Apple’s Data Protection framework with the completeUnlessOpen protection class, providing AES-256 encryption at rest.
Keychain: Authentication credentials (Sign In with Apple tokens) are stored in the iOS/macOS Keychain with afterFirstUnlock accessibility.
iCloud: Synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure.
No remote servers: The App does not transmit your financial data to any server controlled by the developer.

7. Your Choices & Rights

Delete your data: Go to Profiles → Delete Account in the App. This removes all local data and signs you out. To also remove iCloud data, use the Factory Reset option. To revoke Apple Sign In access, go to Settings → Apple ID → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID → Rizq Studio → Stop Using Apple ID.

Disable iCloud sync: Go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → Rizq Studio. The App will continue to work fully offline with local-only data.

Use without an account: Sign In with Apple is optional. You can use the App as a guest with full functionality.

8. Children’s Privacy

Rizq Studio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Dependent profiles within a household are created and managed by the account holder (parent or guardian).

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Since the App does not collect email addresses on a server, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
